26th July, 2026

We are delighted to share that Access Community Health (our parent company) and Focus on Potential have been named as a finalist in the 2026 New Zealand Primary Healthcare Awards – He Tohu Mauri Ora!

Access Community Health and Focus on Potential are one of just two finalists selected nationwide for the Excellence and Innovation in Rehabilitation category. This national recognition highlights the outstanding mahi delivered through our ACC Return to Independence (RTI) service.

Whakamana Tāngata in Action

This nomination reflects the positive impact we make every day for tāngata recovering from injury. At the core of our RTI service is a strong collaborative partnership between Access Community Health and Focus on Potential.

By bringing together support workers, nurses, physiotherapists, and occupational therapists under an integrated approach, our clinical and support teams work hand-in-hand on assessment and rehabilitation. This seamless collaboration streamlines the process for clients, helping people regain independence and safely return to their everyday lives and normal activities sooner.

This achievement is a wonderful example of our kaupapa in practice. To deliver personalised, high-quality services that place people and whānau at the heart of everything we do, bringing to life our Whakamana Tāngata model of care so people can live their best possible life.

Celebrating Our Teams

We want to extend a huge thank you and congratulations to all our incredible team members across both Access Community Health and Focus on Potential. Their unwavering dedication, hard work, and expertise ensure our clients receive the best possible care during their recovery journey.
