Programmes can include occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech language therapists, psychologists, social workers, dietitians, nurses, neuropsychologists and neurologists.
We work with clients in the environments they’re comfortable or need support in. Whether it’s in the home, community, school or workplace, our programmes are designed around what will work best for the client.
We work with clients one-on-one, and when needed can work with support people to ensure everyone relevant to the issues can contribute to achieving goals.
Rehabilitation programmes can range between six weeks to six months. How long we work with clients depends on needs and what’s made available through ACC. Sometimes more than one programme is needed, which is a decision made together with the client and their supports.
At the outset of a programme, we work with clients to identify what’s most important to them and what outcomes they’re looking for. We’ll pull together a plan with sustainable goals, and then set about making them a reality.
Our rehabilitation team covers the Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Lakes, Coromandel, Canterbury and Otago regions.
Successful outcomes mean clients are able to manage their own life and needs without our support
